Hello all, I am new to this forum.

I have an issue with my Honda sensing and the warnings are (Adaptive cruise control, road mitigation & collision mitigation braking system). This occurred almost 3 weeks ago driving on the highway going 60ish mph.

Today I finally took the time and brought it to the dealer. After 2 hours of waiting, they reported "Intergrared millimeter radar miss align, found modified suspension causing the rada lights come on". Yes, I lowered my car by 1.4" on lowering springs 6 months ago, but can this be the issue? If so, they want to charge me $300 to recalibrate the radar/honda sensing and that is pretty expensive in my opinion.

There was a known issue where the dash would light up and the adaptive cruise control and CMBS etc would all stop working. Turning the car off/on seemed to fix it. I don't know if there was an update or what the fix was. I had it happen to me a couple times, but it hasn't happened in maybe 9-12 months.

If the dealer can check for that issue, that would be helpful.

BUT if they are saying that the issue is because of a changed ride height, IDK. That sounds like a different issue altogether. I don't know what those systems need to be calibrated it, or if something like ride height would affect the radar systems. I don't remember seeing any other posts about ride hight adjustments messing with the radar systems though. Good luck and keep us updated!

Did they show you how it was determined that it was misaligned (bring you back to car to show you how this was determined)? Did they advise you how they would realign it and if this would impact any of the other systems/safety features of the car? How long ago did you lower the car, and was the incident w/warnings shortly after it was lowered? A second opinion from another dealer may be something you would want to look into. Good luck.

Nothing at all, literally just told me they couldn’t do anything. I wasn’t even given the option if I wanted to move forward with fixing it. I was told the price when I went two days ago (Saturday), but I couldn’t get my car diagnosed because they did not have a tech in for the day. I told the gentleman issue and he literally told me that 90% of the my problem had to do with the radar and that it’s something they deal with all the time, but told me to come in (Monday) today to get it diagnosed.
My warnings started to come up almost 3 weeks ago every time I start up my car and it has never gone away. The gentleman from today literally told me it’s because of my suspension throw off the alignment of my radar, but I lowered it 6 months ago.

I find it very strange as well to assume it’s the ride height being lowered. I know tons of guys who are very slammed and do not have a single issue whatsoever. I’ll definitely check out a different dealer this week.

Without it being diagnosed what this guy was telling you were just words in the wind.... absolutely meaningless. If the radar does need to be realigned there has to be some type of machine/equipment that can measure alignment to determine something isn't right... I would ask them to show me this while it's being diagnosed (not a print out saying it was out of alignment), I would then ask them to show me on a new car w/same equipment what one within specs (alignment) would read.

I don't have any modifications, but I have had the problem since the car was new. Brought it in mny times, they changed the brake pedal switch, reprogrammed it a few times, last year October did the TSB Technical Service Bulletin update and it did nothing, Last month I called corporate and opened a claim, made an appointment and the did the TSB update again and so far it has beenworking on the streets and on the highway, If still under warranty call corporate.
