Sometimes the Bluetooth connects to my phone right away, but I'd say about 40% of the time, it takes time to make the connection with my Pixel 6 phone. So during that time I can't use Android Auto etc.. This has happened with my previous phone as well (Galaxy s10+), so I'm sure it is not the phone issue. I'm updated fully on both Android and the Honda infotainment.

I've tried:
  • Not wearing a smart watch (it was suggested by somebody since it might interfere)
  • Repairing phone about million times (no dice)
  • Completely rebooting the head unit (no dice)

This is very hard to bring to a dealer as I cannot replicate it 100% of the time, and they told me to just repair the phone, which is major BS. Bluetooth is not a new tech, I don't understand how Honda cannot get this right in 2022...
Is anyone else experiencing this ?

I experience it all the time with a wired connection. I purchased a Motorola MA1 device and that allows for wireless Android Auto in our cars. I have a 2019 Honda Accord Sport. Once setup it takes a couple seconds to connect and very rarely does it lose connection. It does experience slight lag from time to time but overall its a million times better than connecting to Android Auto with a cord.
