This past Sunday I was returning home from work, while slowing down and existing the off ramp my car downshifted real hard I was in sport mode. As I pulled away from the next stoplight all was good until I hit 5th gear then the car surged and RPMs went up. This happen two more time enrout home. The next day same problem called my dealership and made an appointment. There was no codes showing at all. Took to dealership and the technician drove the car and said he was able to duplicate the problem ( which happen on the way there) they hooked the car up and no codes. They then put computer in car and sent data to Honda. This morning I get a call informing me that a new transmission was ordered, he also said while testing the car reverse started going out and still no codes. Not sure if related but twice in the past while driving and using the cruise control while in econ mode I pushed the accelerator to pass another car I lost all power and no codes came up. I have an OBD2 bluetooth in the car which showed multiple codes but both times dealership said they couldn't find a thing. Anyone else had transmission shifting problems? Car has 17150 miles on it I bought it with 20 miles on it last December.

That sucks that tranny went out... kudos to Honda for getting a new one on the way to you. Did you happen to research the codes you were able to pull w/your OBD.... if so were any related to the tranny?

All look like misfires but one that one is air fuel I think. I attached a pic of them on my post.
I saw the attachment but only shows the code and not what they relate too. If the codes were for misfires and air fuel than none were related to the tranny. Odd though that the scan tool at the dealership didn't pull up "any" codes.

Some Times these Dealers just like doing Lots of Work , but anyway Check the Oil in this Original Trans or have them Pull Filter
Behind the Cooler - Not a Big Deal to Check and the O-Ring is Reusable . . I Very Seldom use Sport Mode , mostly just Normal Mode ..
In Sport Mode If You down shift Fast to many Times and Motor has to race Up in RPM's over a certain amount the Motor's ECU will throw a Fit !
Not sure if it's 2000 Rpm's or 3000 Rpm's ( Anyhow the Motors ECU just doesn't do Great Job of RPM Matching ) If @ All , so Honda could Work on RPM Matching ~

The dealership called me back and informed me that my new transmission will will be in this week. When they called they informed me that reverse failed for them several times while testing the car. Hopefully no other problems, I bought a Honda for reliability???
