Hello everybody

I have a 2021 1.5t accord sport special edition. (Edit: 22k miles).

I took my car into the dealership for an engine ticking noise, the dealer said that its the fuel injector. I'm going to take it to another dealer for a second opinion.

Also can anyone please check their engine and compare these pictures posted to yours, I

am certain that the mechanics forgot to put bolts back into place. ( ^ left side of engine ^ )

There are 4 pictures total, first pic is an outside view of the engine, the 2nd pic is a close up picture of the area circled in red.

Please compare these pictures to your 1.5 2021 accord and lmk if there should be Bolts in place on these 2 places of the engine.

does the ticking noise come and go and sometimes louder at times? Does it happen all the time or mostly when accelerating?
Yeah it's kind of like that, I've has it for 1 winter so far but it just started recently. The dealer is saying it's the fuel injector and they're aware of the issue but there is no update for it yet. I still haven't had time to seek another opinion. But it's coming from the left side of the engine when standing in front of the car.

Does your car do the same?

I have a video of the noise lemme try to see if I can post it.
Have you taken it to get checked out
They did that to me too when i went in for an oil change. Those are dealers famous words "couldn't replicate." Take it back or somewhere else for another opinion or a different honda dealer. Tell them I'll show you exactly where it's coming from bring the mechanic I will show him.

Reasons like this is why I call car dealerships the scum of the earth because most of what they say are lies. You gotta be firm and tell them to **** off basically. Tell them you will show them exactly or say keep the car for a week and give me a rental or Tell them you have a recording of it, they'll probably want to see it.

I read in a YouTube comment someone had to replace their fuel injectors on the same car around 50k miles, warranty was finished, they paid around $1,500 to $2,500 for the fix.
