Several threads exist already regarding the AC not being that cold. If what you are experiencing is it seems to blow warmer air after it has run for awhile that has been discussed with no remedy that I can remember. If your issue is it's not blowing cold air at all it's a possibility there may be something wrong w/your system. There has been an extended warranty issued on the condenser by Honda as they are having issues with some... you can see/read about this warranty extension in this post/thread.

Mine takes a little bit to get real cold but when its cold its cold. I'll run it for a little with the temp all the way down but the fresh air vent on to get some of the stagnant, hot air out. after a few minutes of driving like that I'll throw it on max/recirc and it will blow ice cold. just takes a little to get some of that hot air out. Oh, and I'm down in central Texas so its hot as **** down here to give a reference as to what kind of temps I'm dealing with lol

Apparently there was a leak in the condenser per the mechanic from the collision center, and they just sealed it. They said they had some issues with other Honda Civics as well. Honda installed a very cheap condenser to their vehicles.
Actually there is a ten year extended warranty on the condenser because of that issue... see this post. Hopefully if your issue occurs again it will not void that warranty since a repair was done on it not by Honda.

If it went through insurance and the shop was a certified shop by the company repairs usually have a lifetime warranty.

My ac is more than cold enough and am definitely in the climate to test it to it's max. I'm usually around 70-72 at the lowest unless car was sitting outside for awhile. I rarely use the coldest setting and if I do not for long.

Correct... that would be true if the leak was a result of the accident. However @Cris.R didn't stipulate that it was, he just said it was leaking. My post was more for informational purposes for any that may have an issue w/leaks in their condenser as that is what the extended warranty is intended for/covering.

Same just giving more info in case they deny it maybe has another avenue to pursue.

Today I received a "Product Advisory" from Honda with documentation of the extended warranty on the AC condenser. Original owner's or those that have notified Honda they purchased previous owned Accord's affected by this should receive this notification if they haven't already.
