I am running the 1BAA-2148-001 update on my 2020 EX-L 2.0T. Until the latest Signal App update my Android Auto did everything right (send, receive, notify, etc.) using Signal. After updating Signal on my Moto G7 Power to version 5.10.8 everything went south and Signal no longer shows up on Android Auto, although every other app works just fine. In short I am wondering if other users have seen anything like this issue using Android Auto and Signal. It seems clear that this is a Signal issue, but having a confirmation will help. All replies appreciated.

I signed up as a Signal beta tester, was able to download the latest Signal beta, and now the app works (perfectly) in Android Auto. Happy camper (if somewhat anal about it).

Because Waze is a Google product, the chances that it will misfire under Android Auto, while not insignificant, are reasonably small. If your phone connects to Android Auto without difficulty (and because there are so many different devices this is not always happening) you can try the usual suspects: clear the cache, clear the user files, uninstall and reinstall, etc. Not too many other routes.
