Hi, new the forum, 1st post... Switched from my 2008 Infiniti M35 Sport to a 2019 Accord Hybrid Touring.... I'm not looking to be the loudest car in the neighborhood nor my street, just want to add a little kick worth of subwoofer in the trunk. It's my first Hybrid car so I know it's not the same but looking to see if anyone has some experience with their hybrids they don't mind sharing.

Did adding after market speakers, amps, or subwoofer affected/damaged anything on the car? Did it affected the Hybrid battery?.. although a sound system will be plugged in to the 12V battery... I just got it so I don't want to take it to my local sound shop and pay the price a month later if something gets fried...

I’ve had a 2500w amp for a few months with no adverse effects so far. I’ve measured over 100 amps actual amp draw. So I think that you’re probably fine with a smaller amp.

I put components woofers and tweeters in the front stage. They were definitely worth upgrading.

did you get the info that you needed? or did you get more confused? lol....let me know if you are still searching cuz i found the holy grail of this accord hybrid stereo system upgrade. but it cost me around $1400 but i am very happy. other pro stereo shops quoted me $2,500 to $3,500.

Thanks for following up bro. So I ended up only doing, for now, JL Subs 8 inch built in amp.. it's pretty nice.. I still have everything stock and it sounds and feels so much better!

Hehe.... Nice find. 500 w rms sounds really good. Yes I think any powered subwoofer would give the sound a very nice, clean well rounded bass. Besides the upgraded speakers and amp, I added an 8 inch kicker hideaway under seat powered sub and it made all the difference. Only thing with your setup is that Crutchfield recommends total 30 amp draw for any stereo upgrades so if you follow their advice strictly, you can't add anything anymore since your powered sub is already drawing 30 amps. See if you can download this app....

Yeah, it's good to put some decent rms power on the front and rear speakers. I didn't care for my center channel and factory (disconnected) sub anymore. My system will not wake up the neighbors but it is more than decent, especially when the windows are closed.
