Anyone know what part number is for the black triangle screws? I stripped 2 that hold the engine cover and need to somehow remove them and replace them. luckily i can still drain oil without taking engine cover off.

I stripped one of mine before too, and what I did was replace them with bolts. I recommend going to Home Depot and grabbing some M6 bolts that are the same length, and use washers to press against the panel. Easier to take off next time without stripping them

that briefly crossed my mind to try to replace with a bolt so this wouldn't happen again, but just don't know what the size of it is. and i still have to figure out how to remove them. how did you get them out? im going to try some vice grips as i think i could grab the big round head that protrudes a little but don't have backup ideas..

Vice grips worked for me, it was a pain to get a grip though but eventually I did. I don’t remember the exact length of the M6 bolt but Home Depot has those things to help find the right size if you get it out

A couple of things you might try. If you can get one out and it is undamaged take it to the hardware store for a match-up. They make special plier THAT Allows you to latch onto the side and will not slip over the top. Unfortunately, i do not remember the name. Word that are on the side are. Nejio-saurus Rx and Engineer and px 59 I HOPE THIS HELPS YOU.
I got mines from amazon hope this helps you,

thanks, those are called engineer pliers apparently. i will definitely check that out. i will try a hammer and chisel before i spend money as i did not think of that earlier.

wow never thought to look for those on amazon..tbh i would rather get some bolts so i can just use a wrench without worrying about stripping these again.
Next time you wanna find out the part number of small details like this screw, you need to provide more info. You should have provided at least the car model and the year of make. Ideally, you can provide your VIN number. Speaking of the last one, you can give your mechanic or any car spare parts retailer your VIN number, and they will provide you with the complete list of what original and aftermarket analogs you may use for your vehicle. A funny story happened to me when I tried this method. My mechanic offered me to try to use those screws — Tek Screws | Metal Self Drilling Screws | scrooz.com.au
