Just installed dc sports exhaust. Sounds amazing but noticing some drone in lower speeds. Was told the sound will deepen after breaking it in. I’m going to give it some time but was wondering if installing a vibrant resonator will help some. Looking at the reviews everyone for the most part is writing that the drone for their exhaust setup is 90 percent gone.

I see this post is almost a month old, is it any more to your liking after some driving? Exhaust notes definitely change with break in/miles and that includes drone. I guess I’m weird, a little drone to me is actually nice, let’s me know the exhaust is there so long as it’s not deafening.

I guess I’m getting used to it. Sometimes it’s annoying. But I did end up getting the resonator, will have to setup some time to get it installed. So factory, we have 2 resonators. When the exhaust was swapped out, there is now only 1 resonator near the mid pipe. So I was thinking of getting the vibrant resonator installed where the missing one is now. Below is a picture of the factory setup, the first resonator is no longer there. 3rd and 4th picture is of dc exhaust.

Any updates on the resonator? I also am running the DC Sports exhaust (black tips) and wanted to see how it sounds now. Thanks.

Hey hows it going bro 🖐🏼 I am also using dc sports exhaust and was wondering which resonator you got? I am also trying to do something about the droning because its getting a bit annoying

Hey guys, i got a couple of the ultra quiet 1142, and 17950, will go to the exhaust shop this weekend and try to get it installed . So I have a few options. I took it to another shop that installed my exhaust and they say the 1142’s wouldn’t fit. Honestly I think they didn’t want to take stuff off to make it fit. So I’m gonna go to a new shop and hit them with some options. I’m not leaving without getting something installed lol.
Options:
1. Add a 1142 where the small resonator used to be and add another 1142 where the Midpipe resoanator is and take off dc bottle resonator off Midpipe.
2. Add a 1142 where the small resonator used to be near front pipe and then add a 17950 where the Midpipe resonator is and take off dc bottle resonator off Midpipe.
3. Just add a 1142 near front pipe and keep DC sports bottle style resonator near Midpipe
4. Add 17950 and replace dc sports bottle style resonator on Midpipe.

Between 3 &4, I think option 4, it’s a bigger resonator and the factory had a long resonator in the same location. Honestly I’m leaning towards option 1 or 2 since factory had 2 resonators .

I think im going to do the same thing then. It makes sense to put 2 since the factory one had 2. Im guessing its these two you have?

Yeap, that’s what I got. Excellent reviews on YouTube for the ultra quiet, really hope I can use it.
