I've started getting a Supplement Restraint fault and I can't seem to find anything on it.

Trying to do the best I can to research it before I take it to a dealer (out of warranty).

Code is B005D - Restraint System Passenger Disable Indicator : Circuit Short to Ground or Open

Can anyone point me in the right direction or have some things I can inspect?

I installed a simulator for right passenger seat, I bought from ebay for my 2005 X3 E83. It worked great until a few days later my battery was dead.

Long over due update!

I took it into Honda for diag and they found that the Passenger SRS Switch (also the Hazards switch) was faulty. I had already paid for diag so I let them do the replacement ($260 out the door)

Depending on your dealer this is a $20 to $30 switch and relatively straight forward to replace.

Please be mindful that this was causing my intermittent issue of the Supplement Restraint fault that could usually be reset by cycling the car off and back on.

I have been getting this error intermittently as well but like you said I can make it go away by pulling over and restarting. Dealer tried telling me I need a new SRS module and I argued that it should be covered under the lifetime seatbelt/restraint warranty but never got anywhere. By any chance is this the warning you were getting on the dash? Heck, for $22 I'll parts chase it!

also, what app are you pulling those codes with? have torque pro with a generic fob and I'm not happy with the limited data I am getting.

Yeah, that's the same message and light. The symptoms seem to be pretty consistent among the few posts I came across.

Definitely try replacing that part first before doing anything else and let us know how it works out for you

I havent had any issues since. I use a Bluedriver which i got off Amazon. Its been pretty useful
