I have been looking into dsp and loc just in case im not happy with the results of my current project and want a little more bass. I currently have a PSU300ACD installed. I found these bass boosters which i guess are more of a loc with some minimal dsp functions. Can someone tell me if im correct in my thinking from a wiring standpoint. Based on the PSU diagram, and the extra harness parts that came with it can someone verify the way im reading this. To attach one of these with a RCA in, couldnt i just keep everything the same as page 9 of the diagram, but simply change the connector going into the amp with the supplied harness adapter in page 10 to the RCA connectors? Then simply hook the output connectors to the Alpine? Cheers

Spoke to Crutchfield today and looks like I am correct. Only difference is I can very easily add a dsp to the car as well in the same spot. I looked at the wiring of the Kicker 47Keyloc and i can easily connect some rca to the harness and it will basically plug right in. I have to look at how much room is under the seat with the PSU there. It will def fit in the center tunnel area but that will mean longer wires to and from the unit. If i can fit it under the seat, the wires will be very short an clean. May look into this because its so easy if im not happy with the new door speakers.

Nice Hertz makes good stuff. I wound up with the Morel Maximo 6 in the rear deck and a pair of Kicker 47KSC6504 up front. Sound significantly better than stock (except for the loose connector which I had to cut and rewire today but that's my fault not speakers). The Kickers' remind me of my old Focals ( i really like silk dome tweets). The Morels' for the back are perfect. Their warmth make perfect fill for the back deck, especially since my rear seats are always down. Now that said I do still feel something missing. Some songs I'm just using the eq too much and starts to sound crappy and muddled instead of tight and clean at high volumes. Especially now that the Kickers' have broken in a little, I had to lower the eq at higher volume on the bass one notch today because I was hearing distortion suddenly. This is interesting because I'm underpowering the Kickers'. Some of it was the loose wire, but after fixing it was still somewhat present . I can also hear some of the signal noise at higher volumes, and some things are missing in some songs. Really liking the Kicker 47keyloc the more I look at it. Knowing me I'll probably throw one in here shortly but just spent a ton on new water heater for my house, fixing my clothes dryer, and Valentine's, so probably not this month. But again it sounds amazingly better than stock. You also have a 10 speaker system compared to my 4, well 5 with the PSU. Lmk how it goes man! Cheers.

Dsp should help with all of that. Once mine is professionally tuned then ill only have 2 settings that ill use. 1 with more bass and 1 without, wont touch the controls too much. All of this came out of my 17 Silverado. Using 1 less sub but sold my bit 10d for the nove so I can go fully active. Ill let you know how it comes out,prb post some pics, ive been staring at the 2 subs back there for almost 2 yrs lol

I run a JL Audio Fix 82 for my Focal Amps ( FPD 6.900 & FDP 1.900 ) and a JL Audio Twk 88 for tuning. I highly recommend JL Audio DSP's to the list :) I run Focal ISS 165 components front and back and Alpine subs. I use a JL Audio DRC-205 digital remote to run my tunes. Currently have 4 presets for different listening. Can switch them on the fly and they are color coded via LED on the knob.

Little bit more than im willing to install on this car but bet it sounds amazing man. Any recommendations similar to the kicker loc/dsp as far as size and outputs? Like the fact I can put it under seat with the PSU or in center tunnel area.

Check out the JL Audio Twk 82. That should do everything you need and it’s pretty small. Mine is mounted under the passenger seat.
