A deer ran out last week on my way home and bounced off the left front of my Accord I’ve barely had for 3 weeks. Could have been much worse but it still came out to over $1700 for the repairs.

Took it to a buddy of mine who used to be my manager when I was in the collision repair business and she looks brand new now.

and he even had his guys paint my engine cover to match the car haha a bit of a surprise but I think it’s a nice touch.

best of a bad situation for sure. and yeah, i love it. wanted the type r cover but didnt want to spend that much on a piece you rarely see so this free option really does it for me.
Def could have been worse. Uncle hit one years ago thousands in damage. Looks good

Nice repair job. I'm glad there wasn't more damage or injuries.

What I like most is the matching engine cover. My cover wouldn't look as eye-catching because it would be a boring gray color (Modern Steel Metallic).

thanks, i think color matching any cover would look good. the still night pearl does just pop though.
Glad to see it workout for you👍

Something similar happened to me a few days ago except it was a big half shredded tire on the freeway on the passenger side it clipped my bumper which also bent my fender and flung one lucky rock that chipped my windshield the size of a half dollar and then the tire popped out through the passenger side and got the whole side of the car like the side skirt, rear bumper and the doors while the other half of it was still under traveling towards the back of my car ...called the insurance company took the car to my body shop of choice estimate came out to 4K luckily my deductible is $500. I won’t have my baby back until next week. 😩

Yeah it's definitely a great repair job and sorry to hear about the news. I was also looking to buy the Type R engine cover, but it's pointless since you barely look at the engine cover most of the time.

It is pointless unless you have the hood up a a meet or something lol but my buddy wanted to do it with the leftover paint from the repairs and it didn't cost me anything so why not. now it'll look a little nicer every time I change the oil.

Oh heck yeah dude, absolutely. I mean if your buddy is helping you out then absolutely it's worth it then. Buying a custom painted Type R engine cover brand new is almost pointless though unfortunately.
