Not better than boommat/dynamat/noico ect. This product has no rubber butyl which is the main component that absorbs the vibrations ie the sound. It's also not %400 cheaper. But it's cheaper than the thicker mil mats, but you need three times more to obtain the same results. You can easily find lower mil sound mat on amazon for almost the same price as that stuff. I used the Noico from Amazon on my trunk and had leftovers.
