Been thinking about this more and remembered something.... I had to have some work done on my car that required removing the wheel and when I checked it in to service at the dealership I mentioned to service advisor that the lock key was in the glove box... he replied to me that they didn't need it as the shop had masters. With this in mind makes me wonder how many "master" sets have fallen into the wrong hands or is it some other way they are removing the locknut. May look into getting another (aftermarket) set (or two) to put on the wheels. Luckily I'm not in a high risk area but anything that can be done to slow a thief or make them move on to an easier target is well worth it IMO.

I used to work in a dealership and its insanely easy to get a masters key.
Haven't checked for myself but I'm sure a 5 minute search on Amazon or eBay would turn them up.
At the end of the day these won't stop but slow down thieves..
I was afraid that would be the case (easy to obtain). Quick search proved what you said to be correct... they are available on Amazon (not going to provide link as I don't want my posting it to be used by someone for criminal purposes). This is fricking ridiculous!!!! Why the heck sell the locknuts if the master key sets can be so easily purchased.
