Well Maybe My Pet Peeves as they say ..

I got a Touch Lazy did 1 Corner @ Time , which is Not Optimal , but I always Keeps Fluid Sealed , Reservoir capped !

Just Break Seal some .. Reason I do this is Humidity . . ( All 4 Corners Up ) would be shortest Open Fluid Time ..

Today Winds out of North , very Dry compared to How it been Tropical Sweet Forest .. 50% @ 78 Degrees Light Breeze . .
I'd Prefer 40% @ 65 Degree's , but Honda X is going on 3 years Brake Service is Over Due.


1. Brake Line Wrench 10mm
2. Small Funnel
3. Sockets & Breaker bar for Wheel Removal - Low Speed Roller Jack 3-4 Pumps is all Way Up .. so it's Faster ..
4. Battery Power Ratchet
5. Tq Wrench
6. Fresh Brake Fluid , If it's Under 2 Years Old , it probably OK , If Kept Tightly Sealed & Cool Dry Place ( Inside ) 5-7 Years . / .
7. 1/4 Plastic Hose & Bottle of some Type ..

Nothing Against Instructions , they mean Well .. , but I always Go from Shortest Brake Line from ABS in this case to Longest ..

I have seen them Just Use Gravity ,( Crack Loose all 4 Corners ) let Drain - it's OK on Inside of an A/C Shop Kept Cool ..as it Takes Longer . .

I Use Old Pump Method , Noted on First Line to Pull all Brake Fluid through the ABS Unit & Reservoir ~ took 20-22 Pumps ..
Next Line took 15 Pumps , 10 Pumps , 10 Pumps . . ( Watch for Color Change )

That said , I Only allowed Help to Pump it 3/4 First Line , then moved to 7/8 Pump STROKE . .
I Mention Stroke as Over Time - Master Cly. will get Wear to inside & Have a Slight Step from 1000's , It Not 10 Thousands Repeated Use .
This Slight Step could Cause O-Rings Damage Inside Master Cly .. as Brake Pedals Do NOT Normally Go to Floor ..

If You Pump Stroke Brakes to Floor - Your Rubbing on that Step = Leads to Bad Master Cylinder .. so just be Careful there . . 3/4 stroke to be Safe.
On Cars say Older then Two Years & City Diving . . like a Taxis Cab . . LOL

Notes:
In a Pitch 10 Pumps a Corner - OK , but Not a Complete Fluid Swap , so Plan on Doing it again in 12 Months . .

Notes - Bleeders Break Loose Fairly Easy & Don't need Much Tq. to Seal either - I used approx 6-7 ft lbs Light side . .
If You Find a Bleeder is Loosening Hard , then Spray It , Heat It , Tap It lightly - Try again !

Plus Notes : Fluid was Dirty and Twice Actually seen Debris Coming Out ..

Larger Bottle Stood Securely 18" - 20" 1/4 Hose . .

True Blue has around an Extra 85-100 Degree Temp Capacity Wet / Dry

I Keep My Cooler Blue Brake Fluid ~ Bagged ~ Also , beside being Inside in Cool Dry Place . .

1 Thing I need to Add , Brake Fluid in Plastic Bottles does Not Keep Very Long 9 Months , maybe 12 If Bagged in Cool Dry Place . .
