Hey guys/gals,

I was actually in the works of figuring out a way to install the blind spot information system on my 1.5t accord sport, although this project is kind of expensive and not for the faint of heart. This feature is only offered for the the EX and up, and it is the only feature that I really regret not having in my car. I have actually figured out the connections, and how I will do it following schematics that I used from https://techinfo.honda.com, great tool 100% recommend using it although it is subscription based. *Please note, if you go out and check the connections the wiring harness's of the sport and EX are different. So it is not a plug and play project* My biggest concern is once I get everything connected, will the system not recognize it because the can-bus system in the 1.5t sport was configured differently than the EX, or is the feature hidden somewhere, and just disabled. So is there any one familiar with working with can-bus systems or the software of the vehicle to check this out before I spend the time and money? If this works out I will be sure to create a detailed tutorial on how to carry out the connections, parts needed, and the full install.

I'm interested in what you find in your pursuit. I'd like to suggest that you consider going aftermarket instead though.
The Honda/Acura BSM systems are extremely annoying to radar detector users everywhere. Why Honda/Acura chose 24.200 to 24.210 GHz is a mystery to me. Many other manufacturers run theirs out of the K-band range entirely.
My hope is that aftermarket BSM equipment will also be outside of that range.

In your exploration of the service manual, can you tell me where the BSM sensors are located? I want to either unplug them or further cover them since they can't be turned off completely.

The Location of the sensor is right behind the wheel well. I have attached a diagram

Just to Clarify, If you remove the rear bumper you will see it on either sides as shown in the diagram.
