My car is 2018 Sport 2.0T. I went to state inspection yesterday and found out that both fog lights failed at same, honda asking me 150$ just to diagnose the issue. I said I will come back again.
Any ideas on what could be the issue?
Is it weird to have both fog lights failed just after 3 years and 30k miles of use ?

I would start with the easy stuff (if you haven't already)... see attachment below for location of the fuse for fog lights (#29). This is the fuse box under the hood (engine compartment) of your car.

Yeah, check the fuse, maybe water got to the connector and shorted the circuit. Being LED, they shouldn't have failed so soon, especially both sides. Most likely cause is the blown fuse.

Next thing to check, especially if your bumper has even been taken off, maybe the connectors weren't reconnected back up.

Thank you Yonus !
Honda has removed my front bumper 2 times last year to check wiring harness , they may haven't connected fog lights at that time.

If you car passed inspection the last time it was needed and the bumper was removed after that I would talk to service manager about them wanting to charge you to diagnose for something that may be their fault... especially if you find the fuse to be good. As @NYounus stated highly likely that both lights would go bad at same time.

They removed the plugs when they took bumper out and never plugged them back. When i asked honda dealer to check if they were unplugged and they’re fixing it for no charge.

Thank you all for your quick responses , it saved me time and money.
You're welcome.... glad you got it resolved at no charge (as it should've been in the first place). Dealers can get in their own way of providing good customer service at times. SMH!!!
