Check to make sure nothing is stuck under the parking break lever. Maybe unplug and re-plug the battery then take the bad boy to the dealer to see what's up.

I had same issue. It is actually an issue with battery or battery terminal. Honda replaced my battery under warranty with no issues. It was not a brake issue but your electronic brake sensors will go off because the car cant control the electronic brake system if battery is bad

Yesterday i was starting my honda accord 2018 1.5T 8,900 miles on it and it showed Brake system problem and now the car won’t start. Has anybody encountered this problem before?
Yes, except our car only had 38K. had to replace the battery, but brake system light still on. Going back into the shop tomorrow.

Tandem Motor Assembly. Part failure in some cases. Take it back to the dealer. Let him know that you are aware of a technical service bulletin that the tandem motor assembly could be leading to this issue, and many other owners of the same model have been experiencing this issue, and Honda is now aware of the fix which is replacing the tandem motor assembly

My Honda Accord is at 44k miles and the breaking system message popped up on mine too. Can’t turn the car on but the windows and lights still work just fine.

Yes I just recently did. Honda towed my vehicle to my local dealer and replaced factory battery with a new one. All is well so far.

Same issue this morning... Bought this car less than 30 days ago. It's a 2018 with 8600 miles on it. Took pictures as I scrolled through the error log.

When I held the start button down the blind spot warning lights in the side view mirrors would flicker. Battery is one thing, but this other item mentioned above is way above my paygrade. Still under Honda factory and Autonation 100 day warranty.

No mods, bone stock. Attached pictures. I scrolled through the menu of warnings, they are as follows:
1)Brake System
2)Anti-lock Brake System
3)Electric Power Steering
4)Anti-lock Brake System
5)Vehicle Stability Assist

The Tandem Motor Assembly only seems to be applicable to Hybrid models, is that correct? I am having the same issue and have a 2.0T/10spd Auto. Thank you.

I just experienced these same warning light on Saturday. Did you find out what caused your lights to come on?

Honda either has really bad stock batteries or the “new” car you purchased has been sitting on the lot too long. This cause the battery efficiency to degrade as much as half over a couple of months if it isn’t being used.

Most owners won’t notice their battery is nearly dead until the battery is so low that it just won’t start and everything else fails (brakes, ABS, etc) Where older cars you can tell when the battery is going out, the newer ones you can’t without battery testing. That’s why it’s a good idea to ask the dealer to check your battery at the oil change (they tell you they do on the paper, but it’s never done).

[I replaced the battery and windshield, aligned car and camera and radar at 56000 and still had all the brake related warning lights; turned out to be a cracked tail lamp cover!! Replaced and all set going on one month now! Design questionable at best.

I just got the brake system failure warning today for the first time on our 2018 Accord hybrid. No warning whatsoever that battery is going bad as mentioned by another person above. I'll have to jump it and get it to dealer this afternoon. We have 35k miles.
