Well, I've watched a lot of YouTube videos about this, and read a lot about this for automatic transmission cars, but is this technique safe to do on our Sports? I mean i know everything is safe within moderation, but is it detrimental or harmful to the engine/transmission? Thank you for any advice.. This sounds like abnormal abuse to the engine/transmission to me, that's why I'm asking.

Power braking/brake boosting/brake standing is all the same thing and it's never a good thing to do to an automatic transmission. It's also the absolute best way to kill a CVT by galling the belt and/or pulleys
I had a funny feeling regarding being bad for the transmission. I mean all of the YouTube videos I've watched the people are just reviewing the car, and it's not theirs of course. Oh well, thanks for the updated info; I was just curious about it. Unfortunately with the coronavirus and the self-quarantining in NJ, I haven't driven my Sport in almost 3 weeks but it is what it is. I hope that everyone here is staying safe, healthy, and as happy as you can be at home where-ever you live! At least my Sporty is safe and clean in the garage!

I had enough of this stay at home BS and went for a looong drive on Sunday, including crossing into the next state south to sample some of their delicious mountain roads.

The Accord ate them up.
haha, Nice Nice good for you! That's what I'm gong to have to do soon.. Just go out for a nice long drive.. I just don't know where to drive around my neighborhood. There aren't too many nice non pot-hole filled roads, but I shall have to find something.
