As for fuel the manual recommends 87 octane or higher. Unless your car has an aftermarket tuner with a non OEM tune in it you can use regular gas. Jerking could be many different things... if it's that noticeable and easy to duplicate have it checked out at a dealership.

Do a search on the site for "transmission". Some have posted regarding hard shifting in the 10 spd transmission and this may be what you are experiencing. With the amount of gears in that transmission at times depending on the speed/terrain the transmission may be trying to find the right gear for the situation and changes causing a jerk. Never heard/read about jerking related to car "heating up".

If what you're feeling/describing is actually it shifting hard as I said that has been mentioned previously. However, with that said and your car having the amount of miles on it doubt it will be something that will go away... if anything it will be something you will get used to as it being a characteristic of the car.

Keep us informed in what you find out.
