I just went to to Honda Dealer in NJ for oil change for 2018 EX-L 2.0 and they told me I should change transmission fluid. I have 34K miles in a year of driving it. Price for it is $119... I thought I need to do it at around 60K but I drive a lot as you can tell so what should I do? Please advise. Thank you ?
Change the transmission fluid. Do it every 30,000 miles. CVT transmission are weak and get dirty very quickly. Tranmission fluid changes are cheap, new transmissions are very, very, expensive. All that Honda cares about is that it makes it to the 60,000 power train warranty, then it's your problem. I typically keep my cars for 10+ years, a brain dead maintenance investment in my view.
