So, I bought an extra OEM dipstick with an idea to use a dremel tool with metal cutting wheel and remove the IDIOTIC ORANGE GAUGE on the dipstick. First I used the Dremel tool to slice into the high/low circles , then made a few cuts in between so the removal would be easier. Then I used the Dremel to etch it up in between , and used a pair of pliers to break off the orange plastic.

My primary concern was reading with NEW OIL changes, but so far with brown oil, its a lot easier to read. In 1000 miles I will be doing my 1st oil change, I'll let you know if its any improvement.

any improvement on the legibility of the oil level?
What I have found is other than when my car was brand new the residual old oil remaining after an oil change reading the oil level on the dipstick (because it isn't as clear as when brand new) hasn't been an issue.
