Thanks for the time and effort you put into this. It is much appreciated. Personally, I started with a PRL panel filter. No difference what so ever over the stock. I'm measuring by pure seat of the pants. I then got a Mishimoto CAI. I figured, this design uses the best of both worlds by incorporating an air box with a cone style filter. It also retains the factory MAF tube but adds a smooth silicone tube from airbox to MAF. Another plus is it still utilizes the factory airscoop from under the hood along with a small opening on the box (purely for sound purposes). I've driven 8k miles since install and so far so good. Throttle response is improved, low to mid range torque feels the same (I was worried I would lose there) but I think it makes more power in the upper revs under heavy acceleration like merging from highway on ramps.

Did some testing and documented my results. Check these videos out before purchasing an intake at least one with an open airbox

Might be Time for - K&N
just cleaned out stock Air Filter - wow Tapped it Hard several times , bunch stuff came out , Vacuumed with Extra Strong Vac. got even more . .

Good Filter system is really worth having ..
