Did you ever figure out how to get this done (remove actuator assembly)?
You have a link to the YouTube video?I was able to do this today, and I have NO skills. Bought the part on Amazon ($27) and watched a video on YouTube.
Thanks for the link and details. Wondering if it would have been easier/possible to tape wire from the old part to the wire to the new part to feed it into position?I used this:
basically, I used a flathead to pry it out. Then, I unplugged it. Then I went to the trunk to see where the hole was that the cord came thought. Then, I yanked the cord out. I plugged in the new one. I had my son sit in the trunk and look for the new wire. (This was the hardest part getting it to the hole.) Once he saw the loop of the wire at the hole, he used a steak Knife to grab it and pull it through. Done!
