I will get to the point 2018 2.0T Touring , 30000 miles coming up soon, beautiful blue color, love everything about the car. Except the electrical /software gremlins. Got an appointment to do the pump and bcm update and told them to fix the other crap.

1} Cell phones don't like to connect/ or connect after I have given up. Tried many. This has been reoccurring since new.

2} In the past month when on a trip with cruise control on, after about 2 hours everything fails and have to pull off and restart car and then it is good again. Happened 4 times on 4 different trips

Have done all updates for system and maps.

Am I alone or has this happened to others.

I have only had the EXL a couple weeks but none of these issues so far. It was actually the reason I was a little hesitant about the upgraded sound system but it did an update when I got home no problems. Hope you find out the issue.

@jnjsdad2 have you tried a factory data reset? You mentioned your car is a 2018 w/30K miles are you the original owner and these issues just started?

original owner and did factory reset yesterday and dont see any improvement

Noticed the bcm changed some other things hopefully it works for you. I'm about to take my first road trip with the new car so hopefully this doesn't happen.
