I was hoping someone would have some experience buying and using the Honda Care Vehicle service contracts that are described here: http://www.hondafinancialservices.com/leasing/extended-services It says you can get them exclusively at Honda dealerships and they are honored at all dealerships. My local dealership doesn't offer that as a warranty they have some third party warranty for seemingly much more expensive. I've contacted another nearby dealership this morning but they haven't gotten back to me yet. If you have GEICO insurance, they offer a warranty for the Accord. The cost is about $30 per year, but there is a $250 deductible for each repair.

No as I trade every 3 years and always received refunds promptly. The extended contracts were for piece of mind given all of the electronics.

It could not have been any easier. Requested a quote through Hyannis Honda’s web site only to realize their quote was half of what my selling dealer wanted. We don’t drive much so we went with 7 year 80,000 mile no deductible for $685. One phone call to Sean and we were all set using the credit card. Receipt was immediately emailed and policy will arrive by USPS.

I have never purchased an extended warranty before but I just felt more comfortable having this type of coverage with all the electronics.

Pros; piece of mind, lowest cost, good at any Honda dealership, no sales tax, two week cancellation than pro-rated for the remaining term or transferable should we sell vehicle.

Con; $8.15 per month cost (although there is overlapping factory coverage)
