Thank you I have a 2018 Accord, I guess I will get a notification. This showed up on my newsfeed this morning.... see this link
You're welcome... notifications should be going out some time in July. Here is another article - Honda tags Civic, Accord, HR-V, Fit and more in fuel pump recall. That article gives a recall campaign #20V314000 however if you go to the NHTSA website and search for it, it doesn't show up nor does anything come up if I search by my VIN.Thank you I have a 2018 Accord, I guess I will get a notification.
I had B1 service @ dealership this week and asked. They said access under rear seat/carpet; no need for tank drop.Regarding this issue does anyone know how they will be gaining access to the fuel pump? Do they have to drop the tank, can it be accessed thru the trunk or under the rear seat?
Kewl, thanks. Was wondering if I needed to clean out the trunk before having this done.I had B1 service @ dealership this week and asked. They said access under rear seat/carpet; no need for tank drop.
FOR SURE.Same thing with Toyota; faulty Denso fuel pumps. Of all the manufacturers, I'd still take Toyota, Honda, Hyundai/Kia over any domestic/euro brand.
Agree. However, I honestly believe that we as customers should demand more efficiency from such powerful companies.Anything built by humans, or the machines of humans, are subject to fail or have issues...even the statistical leaders such as Honda and Toyota. happier dealing with some of their issues than any number of others
Jeez.. I literally just saw this article and came here but you beat me too it. I’m definitely not complaining about a new free fuel pump. 😉Here we go again.... another fuel pump recall see here.

Wow.. Honda has been slapping us back to back with the recalls. Hopefully Honda’s quality isn’t going to **** like everyone says..I called the dealer from whom we bought our accord and sure enough, it's on the recall list. And sure enough, the fuel pumps are on back order - they can't even fix it right now (and their recall notice states: "Due to swelling of the fuel pump motor impeller, the fuel pump may seize and stop working. If this occurs, the check engine light may be displayed with DTC P0087 (Fuel Rail Pressure Too Low) stored, the engine may not start, or the engine could stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash.)
