Hello Folks,

I need to know if there is a way to reset the Honda non-touchscreen radio system is my Accord 2018 LX without removing the batterY Terminal.
Below are the problems i am facing with my Honda Stereo system.

1- It connects the phone but every time I switch off the engine, it just doesn't pair again.
2- The problem exits for Bluetooth and Pandora connectivity both.
3- I have tested it on Apple and Android device and its the same for both.
4- Sometimes it pairs but the sound doesn't come, neither from phone nor from the Car speaks.
5- The CallAttend Button doesn't do anything (when kept pressed for a few seconds) and the phone button on the system also doesn't work, so I am unable to the list of the phones already paired with the phone to remove them from the system.

Any inputs welcomed, i would also be interested to know if anyone else has experienced the same issues in LX model ?

Thank your. So 1+6+Power button shows the secret menu. But it doesn’t have any reset option.
The only thing i found interesting is the upgrade option there. But I don’t where would i download the correct version of this software.
Its really frustrating you know, its shouldn’t be this complicated. I dont know why do honda put such a petty thing in accord, even civic has a more robust system in LX.

Updates can be downloaded to a USB drive then taken to car to update. You will need to go to Honda Owners Website - Subscriptions, Downloads, & Updates, scroll to bottom of page to "Software System Updates", insert your year/model, and it will take you to a page you can download update.

Ironically my settings menu doesn’t have a systems option..

soon as you hit the settings button, system options is 1st option, and factory data reset is at the bottom of that menu. It could be different though, I have the 2.0 exl.

Yep. Its a different version in mine.
I actually took it to the dealership and they fixed it by updating the software.
i hope the issue doesn’t come back.

I'm experiencing bluetooth issues as well with my Android phone. Always loses connection, o have to turn off car bluetooth and phone bluetooth, sometimes I have to restart car and phone. Was fine until Installed an update last week. I guess I need to go to the dealership as well.

I have the same issues in LX model, I tried everything you guys mentioned and nothing worked, I called Honda dealer and they said this car does not come with Bluetooth module it might be software issue, bring it in to check for charge of $200 then will tell you the cost of the repair. its so frustrating. if anyone know any other solution please let me know. thanks a lot.

I just came across this thread as I am dealing with the same on my 2018 Accord LX Hybrid. Did your dealership charge you to perform the software update? and if so, did it fix the issue or has it come back? I have tried every trick in this thread from secret menu (which doesn’t help as it has no reset option) and my phone button doesn’t work so I can’t delete devices either.

UPDATE: I took it to the dealership, they charged me $120 for the diagnostic and then said we couldn’t figure it out so we recommend just replacing the whole radio for $1100. 😐
