Hi,

I picked up my new 2018 Touring Hybrid about 6 weeks ago and already have 3500 miles on it with a couple of recent long trips. I had the common problem of the HUD losing the compass and turn by turn displays and so I did the factory reset which restored them back and all I had to do was re-enter my Home address - looked like all other driver settings stayed OK, but even though I have the dashboard display/trip meters etc set to Miles, the navigation system is displaying and providing instructions in meters and kilometers and there does not seem to be any setting in the navigation system menus that I can find that will let me set the navigation system to work in miles.

Any help on this would be appreciated - I sent off and got the full set of manuals but a quick skim has not given me any info on this, - mind you I have yet to read all 600+ pages in the various manuals that were sent!.......

There are two places you can set distance / speed units. One is thru the steering wheel dial system and the other is thru the Vehicle Setup in your center console. It's in "Vehicle" "Meter Setup". Not sure if it's any different on your hybrid...

Thank you - I went thru the motions of setting it to both kilometers and then miles thru the steering wheel dial system on the main dash display and that has fixed the issue. Thank you.

Changing Navigation Guidance from Kilometers back to Miles

I had the same issue a couple weeks after delivery. The nav guidance all of sudden changed to kilometers and I lost the display in the HUD. I was able to restore it to "miles" by a Factory Data Rest. It seems I DIDN'T loose my Vehicle Settings doing this.

Go to Home, then Settings, then System, then Factory Data Reset. Select Continue. It takes several minutes and reboots the display system. After it's completed, you'll need to reestablish your HondaLink by pressing that button. Also, you'll need to press your audio off/on button twice to reestablish it's security. It appears there may be a link to this issue and the rear camera issue. So, if you take it to your dealer for the rear camera recall, hopefully this will fix both problems. After the Factory Data Reset, I've had no problems. However, I need to schedule the back up camera recall with my dealer.
