Hey all.
I have a 2018 Accord 2.0T EX-L.
The infotainment screen will turn black after a few seconds with no input. It comes back on if you press back on the head unit controlls. The screen on instrument cluster also goes black but the steering input back button will not turn it back on. I've looked for settings for a display timeout or sleep setting to no avail. Also when trying to use the diagnostic menu of pressing home power and source after selecting one of the two options it just goes black and comes out to the regular home screen.

Did you by any chance make any changes to the android back end while playing around with the “hidden menu” ? This will cause the system to treat the unit like a tablet where it goes dark after 1 min. My advise would be to not mess with that menu. Leave it alone. That system is fully intertwined with the vehicles canbus and you could really screw up your car. It’s a hidden feature specifically for that reason.

Do a factory reset and you should be fine afterwards.
