I have a 2020 Honda Accord 1.5T Sport that I'm trying to figure out how to install the LED Type R emblem to my grille but it also has a red and black wire that I have to use. Any ideas? It is the same one instagram user eddiegeezyaccordmodifications has on his grille of his accord.

Looking at the picture I only see a red & black wire are you saying there others along w/them? If not normally the red is positive/hot & black is negative/ground.

Do you want this to be lit all the time or only when lights (other than the daytime running lights) on? If I were doing it I would want it connected to a hot lead that was only active when headlights were on so they would only come on when headlights were on. Other option (if you want it on all the time) is to connect the hot lead to one that is tied in to ignition (only hot when car is on/running).

With only those two wires then they should be as I described above. You can test/determine that by touching them to a power source (battery) with red to positive & black to negative/ground. As for what circuit to connect it to so they only come on w/the headlights I'm sorry I can't help you with that as I've not looked into where that source would be.

Why not? @Samuelx stated it well and I'll add to his statement with "not everything one person does to their car will be something someone else wants to do to theirs but it doesn't make it wrong/ugly just their taste is different from yours".

If you want your LED lights to burn only at night, in fog, or when the headlights are on, try connecting them to the red wire, and just hide the black one among the wires inside. That's what I would do. It is unlikely that you need extra energy in the daytime when the backlight is not noticeable to anyone, even from a short distance. Where did you buy this backlight? I have seen similar vont.com, so I thought it was this company when I looked at the pictures. Did you buy it from someone on Instagram following an ad in an advertisement, or did I misunderstand something? Do you connect this backlight directly to the radiator?
