I would like to keep the engine / hybrid system 'ON' so that the AC can be ran when the car is parked AND lock the doors from the outside with the key fob. Right now, the doors will not lock with the engine running in park. Is there a way I can override this so AC can be on, engine can be running, and doors can be locked with the key fob when outside the vehicle? Remote start only stays on for 10 mins so i do not want to use that. I just want to make sure my dogs don't over heat in summer and they won't get stolen if i need to keep them in the car!

Remove the built in key from FOB and lock doors from outside once you exit the car.

I had read somewhere about this but hadn't tried it myself and had forgot about posting it... let me know if it works (I'm going to try to remember to try it too 😁).
