Looking to go JB4 would like feedback

Hi all,

I just got my CPO accord 2.0T about a week ago. Stock it pulls well enough, but id like some more. (my other car is a 2017 GTI with the golf R turbo and tune) (and i traded in a mustang GT for this). I have absolutely no desire to flash tune the car. Can folks who have the JB4 on their 2.0Ts tell me how they like it? We have e85 around here, but id probably keep it in map 1/2 since its my daily. Really i just want something to set me apart from the average v6 accord, camry and maxima.

A few questions:

1. Just how "Warranty safe" is it? I had a Jb4 on my GTI but it intercepted a lot more signals than this one seems to do. If something happens to the car, is honda going to go looking to see how fast i was accelerating and realize something is off, or will they just check for a tune and clear it? Ive had some unfortunate dealings with VW warranty in the past.

2. I know the midrange torque substantially increases , but how does the car feel top in? Like if i wanted to throttle down at say 70, does it pull much better? (the videos look impressive, but its hard for me to relate the speedos, since i always use my HUD)

3. is it smooth?

4. any reliability issues, either car or JB4. the one i had on my GTI caused a few CELS and the car to stall, but that was all related to a bad obd2 canbus cable. anything like that?

5. How is BMS customer service? I worked with goerge on my GTI and he was great, im curious how the honda folks are.

Did you ever move forward with this? Or find more info? I’m considering it.
Imo those devices in general are def not as safe as a full flash. If your going to do it, do it the right way and flash the car. I did many Ko4 upgrades or golf r turbos in the past two decades, including one of my personal cars. Running boxes like that can cause problems. The ECU s in cars nowadays are very advanced. Proper tune any day of the week hands down.

That’s what I’m afraid of. I have the extended warranty for either 8 or 10 years and really don’t want to void it.
