Can anyone help me fix and/or at least understand what is happening with this? When my iPhone is connected via bluetooth I get normal SMS notifications and I can have them read to me when they pop up or under the SMS app of the infotainment system. What is strange is that if I go to the "Mail" app in the infotainment system, it doesn't show my mail, it shows a list of my SMS messages. I've tried to re-discover mail to have it actually show my mail instead of text messages, but can only ever get text messages to appear. Anyone have an idea what is going on or how to fix it?

It sounds like there might be a synchronization issue between your iPhone and the infotainment system. You may try to turn off Bluetooth on your iPhone and then turn it back on. This will force a reconnection between your iPhone and the infotainment system. Besides, make sure that you have the latest software updates installed on both your iPhone and the infotainment system. Updating to the latest versions can often fix bugs and issues with Bluetooth connectivity. If none of these solutions work, you may need to contact Apple support. However, I don't know if they're going to be very helpful. Some weeks ago, I had problems while trying to use a random phone number to text someone. They didn't help much. But it's worth trying.
