Good evening everyone!

I have been a long time lurker, I bought my 2018 Accord Touring 2.0T in April 2020 and have finally decided to make an account on here. Prior to this Accord, I had a full bolt on 2012 Accord Coupe EX-L, 6-6 making 303 WHP/262 WTQ. I miss the manual and the absolutely rowdiness of the J35, but the new Accord is so refined and far more comfortable. The fuel economy is also a HUGE plus, went from 22 HWY to 33-34, absolute game changer haha.

As of now, I have H&R OE springs, Eibach rear sway bar, Takeda CAI, RV6 catted down pipe, PRL front pipe, and tuned with KTuner. I also have a few cosmetic/aesthetic mods but nothing crazy, love the subtle look of Modern Steel Metallic. Looking to get an exhaust eventually, but I am just not impressed with anything that is out right now in terms of sound and it is hard to justify spending $1000+ on arguably zero power gains (any suggestions are greatly appreciated!!!).

Coming soon, I plan on getting a set of Konig Countergrams. I had RPF1's on my old Accord (18x9, +35 with 265/40/18 Indy 500s), I just wish they made 19 inch RPF1's (or that they were more accessible).

Looking forward to chatting with you all and getting to better-know my new (to me) Accord!

God bless you all, take care.

Welcome! I upgraded from a 7th gen '07 EX-L to my '20 Sport 2.0T precisely to keep that manual. But I am missing quite a few of your bells and whistles.

Hope you're enjoying your car!

I love that spoiler too. I did a quick search for duckbill spoilers and found a few but none exactly like yours. Can you post a link of where you purchased yours?

Hello everyone! Sorry for the delayed response, so this spoiler is from eBay. They come painted in either black or white, I ended up sanding mine down, priming in, and then painting 3 coats of Modern Steel Metallic and 4 clear coats. If you have a black or white Accord, you are set! They already have your color, but for anyone else, I would recommend finding some paint-matched paint, or taking it to a shop. The paint I got came with a primer, base coat, and clear coat in aerosol cans with a 95% paint match for about $50 on eBay, happy to link that here as well. Honestly, I would recommend taking it to a shop though, as the quotes I received were anywhere from $100-150 which isn't too bad in my opinion!

The spoiler itself goes for $70-85 depending on the supplier and often times includes free shipping. The one linked below is $77.50 with free shipping!

The link for the spoiler is here: For 2018-2020 Honda Accord Painted Glossy Black Trunk Spoiler Wing 18 19 20 | eBay

This link is to a black one, but if you have a white Accord, searching something along the lines of "2018 Accord spoiler" on eBay will find it for you!

Overall, easy install. Once it was painted, I let it cure for a few hours and then lined the back in some generic 3M adhesive that I got from AutoZone for about $5. Zero issues with it staying on or anything.

Let me know if you guys have any other questions! Take care everyone, and Merry Christmas :)

A quick side note too, you will have to remove the "ACCORD" badge on the top left of the trunk for the install, but you should de-badge your car anyways because it looks way better/cleaner ;)

Are those the stock taillights? If so, how did you make them all red? Looks really good.

Yes sir, stock taillights! They just have a vinyl overlay that I bought from Crux Motorsports for $20. One of my favorite mods honestly, such a simple thing made such a drastic difference with the look of the car. Not a huge fan of the stock taillights but these vinyls made a HUGE difference and got rid of the “lobster claw” look. There is almost always a coupon for Crux Motorsports too, just google it and you’ll typically find a 10-20% coupon. Link is below :)

Hey, thanks for the link! I was wondering, how well do the turn signals shine through? And do they appear more amber than red?

No problem brother, and there is literally zero difference in terms of light output. The light is slightly amber, but predominantly red which is nice. Just flows more with the brake light color!

That’s great to hear. I currently have the first aftermarket taillights that were made for the Accord X. I love the smoked look, and the sequential turn signals. But they are not that easy to see in bright sunlight. Also, they don’t fit as well as the stock tails. And dirt easily gets down behind the edges of them and they can’t be cleaned properly without removing them. I’m about to go back to stock and would still want to make them look nicer. I think the red overlays you have really complete the look. And yeah, the red tails look really good with our modern steel metallic paint.

For sure man, I don’t blame you there at all. Honestly if I were you, check out the other options on Crux Motorsports too. They have a few other variations of taillight vinyl; numerous styles and colors and they’re all around $20. I was torn between the red and the light smoke, happy I went with red but still wonder how that style would’ve looked smoked instead. Definitely check them out man, they’ve got some sick stuff vinyl-wise for our cars. I also got the vinyl to black out all of the window trim and body trim (on the EX-L and Touring only I believe) from them. They have headlight and fog light overlays too, all reasonably priced and pretty solid quality. All of it is cut out perfectly too which is a huge plus. I’ve bought “precut” and “laser cut” vinyl before that absolutely sucked, this stuff was actually really good. Check out the different styles they have for the taillights as well as the colors! You’ll definitely find something that’ll spice your car up and give you a unique look that stands out from the rest.

I toyed with the idea of after market taillights but once I got these vinyls, I was happy with stock. You’re 100% right about the red looking sick on the MSM, it compliments the color really really well in my opinion. When I got the car, I was really iffy about the color but the longer I own it and the more I do to it, the more I love the color. The flake in the paint looks unreal in the right lighting and it’s just such a sweet sleeper color.

Hey,
One more question. What percent tint is that? I'm getting mine done Monday and can't decide. I'm thinking 20% on the sides and 15% on the rear?
