Hi, thanks for reply, this isn't one I was looking for, however the post I saw was about a guy who got touring inner tail lights to work when installed on a non-touring Honda, using one wire? (I assume brake light power only) And no harness and all the other labor involved.
Time to search a bit more. Lol thanks again.

I did it with the harness it's super simple and only 100 for the harness

Ok..ill buy the harness and inner touring lights. Wanna give me hand installing? Lol
I'm in FL. Where are you.?
Its very simple the most complicated part would be taking of your bumper and the lights u should add the reflector lights while ur at it since u already have the bumper off and they are only 60 dls on amazon...
I didnt think about It so i had to remove he bumper 2 times smh

i didnt think it was possible to have a non touring inner tail light to light up since there are no lights/bulbs in that are. unless the guy opened it up and installed a light in there, then ran some kind of wire.

or am i mistaken?

anyways if youre going about the parts way (inner lights and harness) i posted in the DIY section

I think what he’s talking about is installing the touring lights, but then not spending an extra $100 on the whole trunk harness, and instead tapping a wire in the existing harness to power the new brake light.

I haven’t done this either way. I seem to remember from pictures/videos of people doing the light/harness swap that there isn’t an additional connector on the back of the touring inner light. Any additional wiring would theoretically be on the inside of the light, and/or the connector is different.

Anyone who’s done this want to provide snap shots of the wiring connector and where they plug in on the lamp itself to compare differences?
