Found out yesterday that my car on order now has a VIN. It was scheduled for production last week. Does this mean the car has finished production when it gets a VIN?

Worried it is not finished being built as I saw this morning Honda Marysville Plant in Ohio just got reduced to 3 days a week again due to parts shortage.

Just because it has been assigned a VIN number does not mean production has finished. A car gains a VIN when they are about to go into production.

Unfortunately, it may still be two to three weeks out. At the dealership I work for we have some Accord Hybrids that were assigned to us along with their VIN numbers on the 1st of this month, and looks like they have not began production and ETA is blank. Sounds like your car is probably around or part of the same batch. I would expect it to be arriving to the dealership around the end of this month.

Gotcha. My dealer has known about this accord for about a month and just got the VIN. He said it's in the "pending" status which he also said means it's in build or waiting for transport.

Well that is good. Typically pending pops up a week or so before a solid date range for the ETA is added to the system. Hopefully, they have an update for you soon!

Got an email today saying my car arrived! Just waiting on the dealer inspection. I am out of town this week and am planning on picking it up tuesday. can't wait!

It just arrived at the dealer!! I am test driving/ picking it up Tuesday when I'm back in town. They're holding it for me.
