Partial muffler delete with Catted downpipe demo

Just for kicks I decided to pull the drivers side muffler on my Accord 2.0t to see how it would sound with my RV6 catted downpipe. It actually wasn't too bad, some will probably like it. Here's the video

Interesting mod, I don't think my OCD could handle the asymmetry but (other than drone) it sounds pretty good to me! And if you get a ticket, it's a quick fix! :)

As soon as I learned only the driver side muffler unbolts I've been really curious as to how pulling just that one would sound. It's honestly louder than I thought. Sounds a little better than I expected too, definitely could use some fine tuning but for a quick change its not terrible. I may give it a shot and see how it sounds with a full stock exhaust. Thanks for the video man

Gives it a nice deep tone, I like it!

The muffler does most of the muffling in the full system so taking one of the two out gives good results. Having the resonators still in there keeps the tone nice and deep and not raspy.

Forgot to ask, did you have enough clearance to do it with the car on the ground or did you have to jack up the rear to get the muffler out?

Would probably be best to do this driving the rear up on ramps. Especially to have easy access to that hanger on the back of the muffler.

My fatass head fit under there but some clearance would help. Idk why I ask like I can't throw it on a lift at work. Sometimes I just like to be lazy...

:ROFLMAO:

I do that a lot too.

I have a lip kit from my old car in my garage. My car is parked on the driveway. I've been too lazy to go take measurements to see if I can make it fit my car or not.

If it wasn't for needing to spend 2 minutes measuring I'm sure it would ahve been on already haha I get that

Exactly! The measuring tape is in the basement, so I'd have to go get that first... then get on the floor and measure etc.. :cautious:
