places to put a phone mount

First of all, thank you for reading this. I am a bit forward, but that is the way I am. This post is said respectfully. I know what I am looking for and don't need general suggestions (like look on amazon... tons there)

With that said.... To be honest, our state has just past a law making it illegal to have your phone streaming and put a limit on screen touching. Basically there is a fine and they can pull you over if they see your screen streaming. I am not here to discuss the law or the implications of what you think I may or may not be doing. I am here to get ideas on a sturdy phone mount that is mostly out of sight from other drivers (my reasons are my own). I don't need to see the screen constantly but at a glance from time to time. my hope is that someone has a simular situation and found a unique place to mount the phone. I have a 2018 Accord tinted windows (slightly past legal)

Window mounts are possible, I bought one that was fantastic, but it was visible from the back window. I thought about installing a fabric screen of sorts between the seats, but it is still visible from the side windows.

Thought about a goose neck that finds the phone by the ignition button, but it is a thought right now and it sounds hideous.

air vent mounts scare me. I have broken some fins in the past using those mounts

Specialty mounts intrigue me, but my hope is that someone has a mount specifically for honda trim and they could give me a more detailed picture or information about how secure they are and if I can mount by the steering wheel. I have seen one mount that attaches to the screen (from the back I think. This would put my phone in a nice spot by the steering wheel.

I have seen the "mounts?" posting and didn't find an answer to my question. Someone has figured out a solution for my problem and would love to talk to you. If you are going to tell me where to buy them only, don't bother. I know amazon has tons to choose from and ebay has some stuff. I am looking for reviews of unique mounts/locations that hide the screen from the back and side windows.

here’s mine. There is a nearly invisible shell that slips over the screen. It has a ball mount where you see the ESR magnetic mount that I installed. No clips, tape, wires or suction cups. Super clean. Find it on Amazon.

My car doesn't have factory NAV so for awhile, I was running a Garmin with one of these cup holder mounts: https://www.amazon.com/GPS-Mount-Holder-Adjustable-Garmin/dp/B07NRR85WK . Later on, I got a Motorola MA-1 wireless adapter and didn't need the Garmin anymore (Waze on my phone now displays on the factory head unit/infotainment screen). I couldn't find any mounts that work with the bulky case and clip on sheath that house my phone so I ended up making my own phone mount with that GPS cupholder mount - it holds my phone upright at an angle facing me and I can periodically look down and use my phone if I need/want. Only problem is that I lose one of my cup holders...

Wait... Are those bubbles on your screen from the mount?

OkI saw this one nad had questions about it. Can you move the mount to the other side and how secure is it? I am assuming it is a magnet.

I remember looking at something simular but didn't like the idea of using a cup holder and I wasn't sure if you could turn it landscape or not.

It uses double sided tape and fixes between the dash and screen on top and the vent below. You can put it over the driver side vent but it would obstruct your view of the screen, obstruct access to climate control knobs and also obstruct your vent/airflow. I think you can also put it over the emergency lights button too but am not certain. I played around with it before peeling the tape and this location was my preferred spot.

it’s really stable by itself no issues with vibration even with hasport upper and lower torque mounts. I’m using a scosche magnetic tablet mount that’s double side taped to the proclip mount and not one of the proclip magnets. Holds an iPhone 12 Pro Max just fine.
