Potential Recall of 10th Gen Honda Accords?

Hello, I received an envelop a few days ago about a recall for the 10th gen Honda Accords. One of the problems mentioned in the recall was about the defogger not working properly. Do any of y'all have problems with your defogger especially those in the colder climate areas.

I leave work in the morning and usually during this time of the season my front windshield are always fogged up, it'll take about 10 minutes for even 60% of the frost on the inside of my front windshield to clear.
I usually don't bother waiting and opt to use my de-ice spray that does the trick for the light layer of frost.

That is the BCM (Body Control Module) spoken about in this thread. If you have already had that recall done you can disregard that letter. I also recieved it a few days ago... if you look at that letter in the section "Why my vehicle is under recall:" it mentions the BCM.

As far as I’m concerned, most of defoggers in these cars are working properly. I think this is one of those decisions that could seriously affect a powerful automaker such as Honda.
My defroster has been fine here, and we've had temperatures as low as -39 (-38 F) when I've operated my car. (Much warmer now, thank goodness.)

I’ glad your ride is now working well! I had a friend who had the same issue, and let’s say everything went downhill for her.
The 10G is my first Honda. There has only been 3 recalls since I purchased it, and 2018 is the first year of the body style. That isn’t too bad from a safety standpoint.
None of the reasons I am trading it in are safety issues. Mostly aesthetic issues in my car; like the hood shaking annoyingly at red lights, and the A/C never working when it is supposed to. The whiny little 4 cylinder just annoys me, but it is an ok motor. I really dislike the turbo lag, or microprocessor lag; i always wait for big traffic openings before attempting to pull out from stops.
The way I drive it gets around 22.5 MPG. But since i am used to 6 and 8 cylinders it might just be a psychological thing which makes me think it barely moves in regular mode. Therefore it is always in sport mode because it will not even keep up to a Prius otherwise. Now that I reread what I wrote, i guess I just think it’s a lemon.

accord g9 2013-2018 Thai user There is a problem with VSA Mudulator. No recall, but free claim without notification. even in other countries have to pay for repairs
I suggest that if the G10 has defective parts in many cars, You should gather information and file a complaint with the consumer protection agency in your country. Otherwise, car dealers tend not to care.
