My 2018 Accord needs a new front bumper. I much prefer the look of the updated front on the 2021 model, so I would like to upgrade to that bumper if possible. Obviously I would need new foglights and foglight brackets as well, as they’re a different shape. What I’m really worried and unsure about is the Honda Sensing compatibility, as it looks like the sensor is a little different.

I don’t think it should matter, but my car is a 2018 1.5t Sport 6MT.

Go to Honda Parts Now and see if they both have the same part number... if they do then you should be good. While there you may want to check the other parts you mentioned that may need to be changed.
They don’t have 2021 Accord parts listed yet. That said, they‘re different parts and don’t even look similar. I already know they have different part numbers. I was just wondering if anyone knew if it was compatible. It‘s unlikely that the structural bumper or harnesses underneath are different, and the neighboring parts like headlight housing and fenders are unchanged. It’s mostly the sensor and how it would fit in the grille that I’m worried about.

As @Samuelx stated it may take some "trimming" if it's not a direct fit... little bit of time & tools and you can make it work. :)

You have been the first that I'm aware of to raise this question and w/the "21's being so new doubt anybody has attempted this yet.

IMO other than the middle lower grill piece I think the pre '21 Gen X Accords look better... the fog lights of those look more symmetrical to the headlights than the round ones on the '21's.

Yeah, I actually like the foglights on the pre-refresh better. But the lower grille on the new one is 100x better IMO. It’s one of two styling elements of the car that I really disliked and seeing that I need to replace the bumper anyways, it seemed like a good idea to swap it out. It’s my understanding that the new grille is a bit wider and wouldn’t fit in the old bumper so it needs to be an all-in-one swap.

Any update if the bumper swapped worked?
