So my car is in for service to deal with the am/fm radio having no volume. I can play from my iphone, it makes sounds off of waze etc etc, but the am/fm will play for a few months, then not work at all. The service guy asked if I had my windshield replaced and made a comment that the tech may not have connected the antenna or broke the connector causing it to have intermittent issues. I'm thinking they just want to ding me for $130, especially since they are having to do some other service for free. My question is, is there any correlation between the front windshield and the radio / antenna? I thought all the antennas were in the sharkfin? I think they are playing games and just trying to get an idea.
