Rattles

I've got a 2018 Accord Touring 1.5L. When I first got it, there was a rattle coming from the center console below the HVAC controls. Two trips to the dealer corrected that. Now, at 11,000 miles, the touch screen rattles on uneven roads. I have not yet brought this to the dealer. Anyone else experience rattle on their new accords?

By the way, this is my 5th Accord since the first one in 1983 and it's, by far, the best one yet. Roomy, comfortable, technology current. Great car (except for the rattles!!).

Haven't heard any complains about rattling in the cabin before, but there have been a couple one off issues with the Accords interior. Sounds like a few things may not have been correctly seated in place from factory. Any idea what was involved in fixing the noise in the center console?

There is a post in there that had to be reseated. That's about all I know.
Well, your Accord does have factory warranty for the first 3 years of its life, may as well make use of that and have all the factory glitches fixed.

I don't have that rattle, but I do have a VERY annoying one coming from the heads up display area. So far, been to the dealer twice and they've not been able to fix it. The next step is to get a Honda engineer involved to try and correct. I've also found the passenger seat belt makes an annoying sound too at times, but I was able to get it to stop the other day. Other than the rattles/fit finish issues, I like the car otherwise. I'll love it if they can fix these issues.

I have, at times, had the same noise (like crackling) from the HUD. It comes and goes. I wonder if it is heat related. As the car cools down with AC running it tends to go away. I test drove one that made noise the entire test drive. I hope this is not a chronic defect. I would be curious if others have experienced the same noise and what has been done, if anything, to eliminate the noise.

I just bought the Touring 2.0t. It now has 300 miles on it. I hope the HUD noise doesn't get worse the longer I drive it.
My 2018 Honda Accord 2.0t Touring had it's rear speaker/subwoofer area rattle pretty badly with bass heavy songs, and after a few trips to the dealership as well, they were able to diagnose the issue to be a "malformed" rear dash I think it's called, and the lack of foam. So in colder temperatures, rattling would be worse. Luckily that was resolved, but it's definitely an annoying issue for a brand new car like this.
rattles gone

i got my car in early january and the weather here around montreal was cold but when warm days started to come there was a rattle on the left corner of the dashboard, i played a little with the dash to find where the rattle was coming from and it seem to be on top of the air vent on the left, i made it crack a few times and got lucky it's gone for now gonna cross my fingers cause i see a lot of accord owners with that problem.
I wonder if it has anything to do with the clips and overall hardware the use to secure parts.
Not always do car makers use the best methods, sometimes its to cut costs even at the smallest of areas.
I have a noise coming from the passenger seat belt when I drive on pumpy roads. I went to the dealer for about 6 times for no reason. On the 6th time there was a person that made a test drive with me. Finally, he said that this noise is a normal thing and it’s a suspension noise. Also, he stats that most of the Accords 2018 will have a suspension noise in different ways. He showed me that the service manager’s car has the same noise which is normal.

Hey, I have the same rattle behind my HVAC... do you know how to reproduce it? I want to take my car in for this, but it's intermittent.

I have a ringing like noise coming from the passenger side too.. I don't think its normal. How does suspension noise come from the passenger seat belt area? if there were the case, then we should hear that noise on the driver side too... also, I would expect the noise to be coming from near the suspension components (I assume near the wheels). I have tried playing around with the seat belt location (higher and lower), no effect. I did apply pressure on the headliner (roof area) above the passenger seat belt and I thought that may have some effect. It still an issue on my car I would like fix, just can't reproduce it.
Hello,

I also have a rattle coming from around the central vents, can't really identifie the exact source. I'm driving the sport 2.0T. Rattles happen on bumpy roads as well

Asked them to look at it when I took my car for first maintenance. Report says they test drove it and didn't have the rattle at the time.....of course!

They'll see me again because I still hear it and it gets on my nerves haha

If anyone had that experience and found a solution, I'm all eyes :)
Here's a really annoying source that distracted me for a bit until I realized where it was coming from. When you unclip the visors and move it out then back in without clipping it back in place, it will rattle quite loudly! Why would you not clip it back? I don't know - there are just certain types of passengers that do!
I have a rattle/vibration that I only notice at speeds above 70/75. Have yet to figure out the source... kinda hard to feel around/figure it out at those speeds and be safe (pay attention to driving). I know if I take to the dealer they are going to tell me they can't reproduce it or I shouldn't be going that fast.

That can be fixed by placing a couple pieces of foam between the HUD screen and the trim around the HUD. I had the same issue and took to the dealer but they did not hear it.

I am getting rattle noise from my 2019 accord, rattle starts after 10-15 mins of drive, when accelerating 1500-2000 rpm, and car going over a bump. Sometimes the noise is loud when taking a turn, climbing a slight uphill on the road. I hear the sound more loud underneath, driver right side kick panel. Brand new car, but this rattle is making me frustrated. Looking forward to any suggestion. Thanks

The next time you hear this rattle change the air vent position selector from feet to vents to dash and see if the rattle stops. I have heard the air gate or valve is rattling and moving it will stop the rattle. If that works at least you will know where the sound is coming from
