After the BCM update I noticed the rear facia was crowding the camera view.
Ironically, it’s the same as new cars on the lot. Grr. Wasn’t this bad before.

Has anyone tweaked the camera angle with foam tape? I’m thinking that would be enough in wide angle mode #1 and still great in close up.

This may require the panel holding the inner taillights to be removed to access the camera.

Wish I tried this while installing touring taillights a year ago.

You know, I got the BCM update yesterday. I didn't put two and two together but I did notice some of the facia showing on the top right corner of my screen and wondered how I never noticed that before.

I will look into this this weekend when it stops raining. Dealer is aware of my concern and said as long as I don’t break the ears off the camera go ahead and mod it’s angle.

I plan to just add a few millimeters of double stick tape or foam tape to angle the camera upwards.

Facia really should only be visible in the 3rd view. Just my 5 cents.

Did you get a chance to make the adjustment(s)? If you haven't can you provide a before and after pic (of camera view) and details of what you did to correct the issue.

Are you talking about being able to see the rear bumper from the camera? If so mine has always has that view. Wonder if there was an update sometime for the 2020 models. Wonder if OP was built before or after mine. Havent done the recall yet.

Why has there No been a 2X Lens to Look way Back , when You have Camera ON all Time Mode ./.

or 4X lest see those Faces in Car Behind Me , Haaa 😁

ps : Maybe also that New Lens would a Hood that Keeps Rain **** Off the Lens !
