Not sure if anyone has installed this yet, but I did today and 1st impression is not too impressed. What do others think? I could only accelerate a couple times due to heavy traffic so couldnt really tell on gains. I also couldnt hear much of a sound difference, I let off the gas a couple times before it shifted gears and you can hear a very slight pressure release, my guess its because its enclosed , after watching several other brands videos I suppose i was expecting close to the same sounds during release. Im not a car expert by any means so please give your opinions on the product and any thoughts.

Was anything else done with the car performance wise? Would this require some basic tuning for air/fuel ratio?

Add a catless downpipe and you'll hear the difference.

Intakes for these cars (2.0 or 1.5) don't really make much gains in HP. Same went for the 1.5 in my Civic Si. The best bang for your buck is a downpipe and/or a tune. I have a PRL drop in filter but will probably just go back to a stock filter. The PRL didn't even fit right.

Stock air intake is large enough if all else is stock. Someone (I think it was Hondata) tested air intakes on CTR and saw little-to-no increase. The open filter element types were worse, as they allowed IAT to rise. (at least the PRL is enclosed). I just put a K&N panel filter in my stock filter box.

I have the mishimoto intake I got it way before prl released theirs .... mishimoto has a small opening on the front personally I like it better than prl but I do also have part prl intake tubing since mishimoto only sells the box and airflow sensor adapter

Just installed from stage 1 to high volume... I’m almost full bolt in minus downpipe and front pipe sitting in my garage. I have stage 3 pherable tune in my car. Feels about the same to be honest as of now... the sound of the pressure release is louder but that’s about it. Not sure I spent 400 wisely...
