Hi all,

I have been enjoying my accord , but ive been surprised by the ammount of road noise on certain surfaces. I expected the accord, especially my touring to offer a quieter ride.On certain road surfaces its whisper quiet but on others its loud. I imagine this has quite a bit to do with the tires. Has anyone changed from the factory michelins to another tire? If so did it quiet the car down?

I have- however I changed wheels and tires, and this was on my 2019 Sport 1.5t [currently have a 2020 2.0t touring]

I put on 19” Enkei wheels with Michelin PSS tires 245 width...I’m not sure how much quieter they were than stock, but definitely performed better than stock in grip.

In my 2020 Accord touring w stock 19” wheels/tires I don’t find it to be loud myself. However, you can compare the OE tires w aftermarket options for road noise if that’s really important to you. If it were me though, I would just sound deaden the cabin more to dampen noise- dynomat or something along those lines, as a diy.

I actually added some dynamat knockoff to the doors, and added sound deadening foam. I probably need to ull the carpet and add some then.

That’s my thought- pull the carpets and get at the firewall and foot areas

Hi....I have the 2020 EX version, and it is one of the annoying things that I found ... among other things. I'm going to try to lower the psi to see if the excessive noise is reduced. I tell you that mine has hankook tires from the factory ... my last hope is to change them for the costco bridgeston brand, which to my taste are softer. I have my old 2005 accord and it has much better handling and I don't feel the same annoying noise .... I am very disappointed
