hello everyone,

this is my first post on here hello fellow accord lovers. so I found a 2020 1.5 liter accord for sale i would like to buy. It is fairly well maintained and in good shape. I am just not sure if the 2020 1.5 liter Accords still have the oil dilution issue or it has been fixed. I really like the car a lot and would like to buy it, but if the oil dilution issues haven't been fixed or I cant find a good way to deal with it I might have to go for a Camry instead
how have people dealt with this issue so far?

For whatever reason that problem was much bigger for the CRV and civic in the earlier model years. I had a 17 civic si and my wife an 18 accord 1.5 and neither car had any issues with it. They offered updates on earlier model cars to help. I wouldn’t worry about it, just keep up with the maintenance. They’re great cars.

huh? ok well thank you for responding. this is what I was wondering too, if I just maintained it well I should not have to worry about it much at all. update thou the 2020 sold and now I found the same car but a 2018 version instead.

how much did you drive it?

I put 12k miles on my si in 9 months and we put over 30k on my wife’s accord in a year and a half. My dad has 40k miles on his 1.5 without issue, 2019 model
