Been looking to purchase a 2018 2.0 T. It has a clean Carfax. One owner, no accidents. It's been debadged in the back and the previous owner put on custom wheels, which I don't really mind the look. The mileage is a bit high for a 2018 (32,501), but the price is almost too hard to pass up 22,900 before taxes and fees. I test drove for about 30 minutes and it checked out. Didn't notice any issues during the drive. Should I go for it??

Well that does sound like a pretty good deal. Most issues ive read up on seem like they would be pretty apparent when driven.

Do you have any mechanic friends you can bring over to the car? Since these are direct injection, might be goood to see if the Mechanic can bring a borescope to inspect for carbon buildup. though only 32k Miles shouldn't be having much of that sort of an issue.

The other thing that i know to do is to check the Oil and see if it smells like gas. I may be wrong on this stuff, but as mentioned its the stuff that Ive read as being the only real noticeable issues to watch out for with these models.

Is it a Certified Pre Owned? I am assuming not, may need to double confirm what sort of Guarantee you get with it, like return accepted in X amount of Days etc.

Not a certified car. One thing I just noticed is that it was repossessed back in March and sold at auction to a local Honda dealership, then sold again to another local dealership. I'm thinking it was a loaner for the Honda dealership before it was sold to the next dealership? Didn't think to check the oil for fuel odor. I had that on my previous 2017 Si. Had to change oil pretty often than the recommended schedule.

For a used car (especially one with a potentionally questionable history), I wouldn't buy it without some sort of warranty. I've bought my last two cars from Carmax solely for their MaxCare warranty. It's a comprehensive, 5-year, 100K+ year deal that covers damned near everything. That kind of peace of mind is priceless.

Interesting, that Carfax report, the mileage changes are interesting and the Service History is strange.

I wonder what is meant by Switch replaced/Repaired ?

Its pretty similar to a local deal near me

But I cannot view the Carfax Report.
Wow! That one is much cheaper than the one I'm looking at and has a lot less miles. What gives?? The one I'm looking at has 32k and is listed at 22.9k!

My thoughts exactly, I cant pull up the carfax as I am not fancy guy with a full account for it lol It may say some disturbing stuff in it for all I know for that pricing.

But all in all, I feel the one you showed us is a bit high for the mileage.

I do like this rims though.

No signs of any water damage right? Moon roof always makes me nervous.

No signs of any water damage. No odd smells in the interior either, it still smelled pretty good, new-ish. lol

I did contact the original dealership that sold the car and we discussed it over the phone. He pulled up the listing noticed the aftermarket rims and said that is going to be an issue with tire pressure sensor and you can see in the pics that the tire pressure warning is active.

Also, there is only one key fob. Which would cost me 258.14 to get replaced.

And all the badges that are missing would cost around 150. The factory wheels would cost around 1300.

Thats about 1700 to get all those things replaced. I mentioned all this to the dealer, we will see what they say.

Not bad, if that is all there is to it. And yah I figured there would be some issue with the sensor as it seems they give people trouble as it is even with the stock rims etc.

Roads up north are too bad for me to drive fancy rims, I would need to buy good old 17 inchers.
