Should I put the intake scoop back in?

It has been mentioned in previous posts that an open box will pick up more heat from engine defeating the purpose of cold/cooler air to the engine.

well yes...but generally one should ask these questions BEFORE modifying their car. also your brake fluids look pretty low/dark. your pads might be in need of replacement soon, or at least brake fluid needs to be flushed soon.
