I’ve got my Alpine MVR 500, LC2i, 10” sub, and all necessary installation equipment. I have my power, ground, and remote bass knob ran but can’t decide where to mount the amp. I’m going to fiberglass the sub into a custom enclosure on the left side of the trunk long term but have a ProBox for now until I can get the enclosure finished. I would really love to see where and how you mounted your amp. I plan to mount the LC2i on the metal frame either at the top of the trunk or on the underside of the rear deck. I was thinking of wrapping a small piece of wood and screwing it into the underside of the rear deck and mounting my amp to it. So please give me some ideas and pictures and I will forever be grateful. Thanks in advance and y’all rock!

Knowing there’s dead space behind those panels I wonder if it would be possible to mount all the hardware, etc. on the opposite side of those panels. Make the trunk smaller, but enclose them so stuff in the trunk doesn’t run into them. Then if you need access, release the panel and fold it down. Maybe I’m overthinking this.... then again I also don’t have a system in my car and use all of the trunk not infrequently, so....

Did you use some ABS behind the amp on the driver side? Or did you just screw right into the felt liner?

Yes, I cut a piece of ABS and secured it to the upper brace behind it. That way the felt liner won’t have to support that weight. It’s a fairly heavy amplifier. And powerful. 800 watts rms mono.
